Apple Store coming to Colchester
The Lion Walk in Colchester is to become the latest addition to the Apple Store family
It’s just been announced that there is to be a new Apple Store in Colchester. This will replace the old Barratts shoe shop located at 7 Lion Walk [Photographed below].
Currently the nearest Premium Apple Store is located in Lakeside Shopping Center, approximately a 45 minute journey from Colchester.
This is great news for any Apple fan living in North Essex as premium stores are few and far between in the UK. The main advantage of having a local store means that newly launched products are more likely to be available, plus if for for any reason you have a problem with your Mac have Genius’ available will help speed up the fixing of it. This post will be updated when I hear more.
The new Colchester Apple Store will occupy these premises.

[UPDATE: So the Store is finally open and it turns out it’s not a real Apple Store, meaning that there are no genius’ to speak to, they can’t perform any repairs and they won’t have the latest products on launch days.]

how difficult it has been tracking down this colchester branch! not on main apple shop list; no branches - i’ve rung four - nor did BT! - knew the number - and now i have a number I was given a different address!
Does Apple really want my business; or am I just a lemming and they have so many swimming their way I don’t really count!
